Come on down to McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley, 22799 Elbert Road, Elbert, CO  80106 on Tuesday, July 6, Thursday, July 8 or Saturday July 10, 2021 to complete the shooting skills portion of the Rifle, Shotgun or Archery merit badges or just come on out, choose a 2 hours slot and shoot just for fun!

Open to all Scouts 11 years old and older. The only merit badge requirements covered are the shooting qualifications which are requirements 2K and 2L (Rifle), 2K (Shotgun) and 5F (Archery). If you need additional requirements, please sign up for the full Merit-Badge-In-a-Day program.

For open shooting, you may sign up for multiple time slots as well as multiple disciplines for the same day if space is available.

Parents are encouraged to remain at camp for the duration of the range time, however it is not required. There will be a separate area dedicated for adults to relax, or you can take a hike around the camp. If you choose to go off camp property, we insist you be back on property for pick up when you Scout's range time is finished.

Time slots are 8 - 10am, 10am - noon, 1-3pm and 3-5pm. Check in is 20 minutes before your time slot. All Scouts will need to be on-time to check in. The safety briefings will begin promptly and any Scout not present for the safety briefing will not be allowed on the range.

Cost:

• Archery $10. Includes all the arrows you can shoot
• Rife $10. Included 1 box of 50 count of .22 ammo. Additional Box of 50 if $5 ea.
• Shotgun $20. Includes 25 rounds of shells and clay's. Additional ammo and clay's is $15.

Lunch is available at Noon for $6 additional payable at Camp. Those who require a special diet please order that here.

Cash only for additional ammo and lunch, exact change is appreciated. Please consider sending your Scout with cash for an additional box or two for ammo so they can keep having fun. All ammunition purchased is to be shot at McNeil Scout Ranch range. No outside firearms or ammunition will be allowed on McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley.
