We're teaming up with Food Bank of the Rockies and food pantries across the State of Colorado for Scout for Food. Scouting for Food will be held over the course of two weekends, November 2 - 3, 2024 for door hanger distribution and November 9, 2024 for food collection.

Our goals is to have every unit involved in Scouting for Food and we're determined to make it the best year yet. Last year we collected over 60,000 lbs., and we can do even better. If you have a passion for Scout for Food and helping end hunger in our beloved Colorado, that you want to share with the younger generation, this is the year to join us.  We are looking for help at the district and council level.

We are looking for help with the following:
Recruit Unit Scouting for Food Chairs and ensure units are well-informed about the program.
Promote Scouting for Food at District events, such as Round Table.
Coordinate door hanger distribution and food pick-up areas with units to avoid overlap.
Work with units to arrange food drop-off locations.
Communicate important information from the Council to all units within your district.

Scouting for Food Kickoff will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Magness conference room at Hamilton Scout Headquarters, 10455 W. 6th Avenue, Lakewood, CO  80215.

There is no charge for this event however, we'd like to prepare a place for you. Register today!
