Welcome to McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley!
Summer camp is much more than earning merit badges. It gives youth an opportunity to try new things, make new friends and develop new talents all in a supervised environment.
Troops will participate in a traditional merit badge camp program with quality food prepared for you in the Kephart Dining Hall. Specialty programs include an outstanding first year camper program, horseback riding, heated pool, mountain biking, rock climbing, McNeil Scout Ranch Adventure for older Scouts and so much more.
Resident camp is for registered Scouting America members who are 11-17 years old and their adult leaders.
Before you get started, these are the items you will need to fill out your registration for camp this year.
Scout's Full Name |
Spelling counts! No nicknames please. |
Scout's Correct Date of Birth |
No Guessing! It creates problems in the CampDoc system. |
Parental Email Address |
DO NOT provide Scout's email address. Scout email information delays the CampDoc process. Please plan accordingly. |
Registration Information
You may add additional Scouts and adults in addition to making changes in merit badge classes until May 1, 2025. However, you will need to contact the camping office to reduce your numbers and may be subject to a $75 service fee per person reduced after May 1.
If you are creating the registration and you are NOT planning on attending, you will not be provided access in CampDoc. An adult leader attending camp will need to be chosen in order for the unit to have access to CampDoc.
Youth Protection
Youth Protection requirements have changed as of September 1, 2024. You may read the new requirements here. The following will be observed.
-
All female units will register and camp at the Dodge or Amarillo Campsites.
-
Two registered adult leaders 21 years of age or over are required at all Scouting activities, including all meetings. There must be a registered female adult leader 21 years of age or over in every unit serving females. A registered female adult leader 21 years of age or over must be present for any activity involving female youth or female adult program participants.
-
Notwithstanding the minimum leader requirements, age and program-appropriate supervision must always be provided.
-
All adults staying overnight in connection with a Scouting activity must be currently registered as an adult volunteer or an adult program participant. Adult volunteers must register in the position(s) they are serving in. Registration as a merit badge counselor position does not meet this requirement. See FAQ for list of approved adult registration fee required positions.
