Annual Council Fishing Derby hosted by the Council Fishing Committee

Join us for a fun day of fishing with multiple BSA Certified Angling Instructors.  Choose a 2-hour slot during registration when you can come learn the basics of fishing at any skill level.

All Scouts in all programs are welcome to join in the fun, from Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA, Venturers and Sea Scouts.

There will be gear to borrow on site but you can bring your own too.  Fishing licenses are NOT required; Scouts will participate in catch and release fishing.  Night crawlers will be provided.

Registration is limited to 60 participants per time slot.  Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, and any other fishing gear you would like to use. It could be cold and snowy. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Invite a friend to Scouting! Each participant is encouraged to bring a friend (not currently registered with the BSA) for free!

Every participant needs to bring a signed BSA Health Form Parts A & B.

Directions:
Lake Lehow is a private lake that does not have a formal address.
Please use the following directions.

From C470, head South on Wadsworth Blvd for 4.6 miles.
Turn left onto Waterton Rd. Turn into the second parking lot on your left.
If you turn into the parking lot for the Audubon Center, you haven’t gone far enough.
If you cross the South Platte River, you have gone too far.
Once in the Waterton Canyon Parking Lot, take the service road on the south side of the lot, there is usually a chain across the lot here.
Take it down to drive in, then put it back.
Follow the service road to a green gate where a staffer will let you in.
