Please read all of the following as there is pertinent information about these classes that is required!

Join us at Broomfield Community Center, 280 Spader, Broomfield, CO  80020 on Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, 2024 for Aquatics Supervision Training.

Please arrive by 7:00 - 8:00 am on Saturday at the pool for check in.

Schedule is as follows:

Saturday - Swimming Water Rescue
8:00 am - Noon - Pool, classroom
Lunch - Noon to 1:00 pm
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm   Pool and classroom
 

Sunday - Paddle Craft Safety (canoe/kayak/rowboat)

7:00 - 8:00 am Breakfast classroom

Lunch 12-1
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Aquatics Supervision book can be downloaded from https://www.scouting.org/outdoor-programs/aquatics/forms/ from the BSA Nation site.

Prerequisites 

 Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat need to be current or taken prior to the June 22/23 session. 

Requirements: Be 15 years old or older prior to training.  Submit or provide written evidence of physical fitness(A/B medical)

Must Pass a BSA Swim test and Recover a 10-pound weight from 8 feet of water

Highly recommended to be prepared for many physically challenging water and rescue activities throughout the session(s).

Bring to session

• BSA Health Form Parts A & B
• Any Physical waivers/limitations by physician signed section or separate letter
• Current proof of YPT
• Current proof on online completion of Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat
• Proof of CPR/First aid are required for AS certification card, however,this can be done after the session with proof of CPR/First Aid completion to JT, for issuance of certification card.
