2024 POLAR VORTEX CHALLENGE KLONDEREE

The Polar Vortex Challenge, which is sponsored by the Black Feather and Centennial Districts, is the premier winter camping event featuring Patrols, Crews and Posts competing in Scout skills, team building and other fun events. Troop-sponsored Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts each accompanied by a parent are also invited to join the festivities during the day on Saturday. Webelos and Arrow Of Light Scouts cannot camp overnight.

Scouts will participate at a Patrol level in various competitions testing their Scout skills from the ranks of Scout to First Class, as well as other fun team building events.

The Scout Oath and Law will govern the behavior of all participants during this weekend event. The principles of Leave No Trace must be followed at all times.

REGISTRATION FEES

Early Registration Discount:  $20/Person – Ends on December 18, 2023.

Regular Registration:  $25/Person – Ends on January 15, 2024

Late Registration:  $25 plus a $20 late fee

Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts:  $20 (Includes their adult partner)

ABSOLUTELY NO REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED AFTER JANUARY 25, 2024

No “walk-ups” will be permitted.

STAFF & REGISTRATION LINK

Staff do not pay the registration fee, they receive free meals, camp in the yurts, based upon availability, and receive the Official Black Feather & Centennial Districts Staff Beanie. Older ( 14 ) youth and adults are encouraged to help with various administrative positions and the activity stations.

Please note, in the event we are unable to recruit sufficient staff, each unit will be required to provide one (1) adult for staff.
