Enjoy a day in the outdoors. Register to select and cut a Christmas tree at Camp Tahosa. Your registration is your permit to cut a tree. There is a limit of 100 permits and 1 tree per registration.

Tree species available are spruce, fir, and pine. A variety of tree heights are available. Trees must be cut no higher than 6 inches above the ground. All of the tree must be removed from the forest.

Bring your own hand saw for cutting (no chainsaws please) and any necessary tie-down equipment to transport the tree.

Staff will be available to provide parking and cutting area directions.

Be prepared for driving on snowy, unpaved roads. Depending on snow level, the requirements in the Colorado traction law should be observed.

Registration cost is $30. Refunds will be available if the snow depth prevents access to the camp.
