Join us for Outdoor Ethics Orientation to be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Hamilton Scout Headquarters, 10455 W. 6th Avenue, Ste. 100, Lakewood, CO  80215. This course is designed for ALL Scouts and Scouters, 10 years old and above. It is especially encouraged for Troop Outdoor Ethics Guides and their Advisors (adult mentors). The course is fast-paced and includes many hands-on activities!

This course is an introduction to BSA's Outdoor Ethics Program. Topics include:

  • The Outdoor Code
  • Leave No Trace
  • Tread Lightly!
  • The Land Ethic
  • Training and Educational Opportunities
  • Outdoor Ethics Awareness and Action Awards
  • Outdoor Ethics Guide Position of Responsibility

Outdoor Ethics Orientation meets Requirement 5 of the Outdoor Ethics Awareness Award AND qualifies the participant to conduct Outdoor Ethics Orientation courses for their own units to assist Scouts and Scouters in earning the OE Awareness Award.

Course Cost: $8.00 - Includes Leave No Trace and Tread Lightly! hang tags, handouts, and activity supplies.
