Welcome to McNeil Scout Ranch at Peaceful Valley!

Summer camp is much more than earning merit badges. It gives youth an opportunity to try new things, make new friends and develop new talents all in a supervised environment.

Troops will participate in a traditional merit badge camp program with quality food prepared for you in the Kephart Dining Hall. Tents and platforms are provided. Specialty programs include an outstanding first year camper program, horseback riding, heated pool, mountain biking, rock climbing, McNeil Scout Ranch Adventure for older Scouts and so much more.

Resident camp is for registered Scouts BSA members who are 11-17 years old and their adult leaders.

Before you get started, these are the items you will need to fill out your registration for camp this year.

Please note:

  • If you are registering before January 1st  – you will be able to enter in just the number of attendees.
  • If you are registering after January 1st  – you will need to enter each participant’s first & last name, date of birth and parent’s email address.
    • For each Scout:
      • First & Last Name
      • Their Date of Birth
      • Parent or Guardian's Email Address - This is important! You must enter the correct email address for each Scout's parent or guardian.
    • For each Adult:
      • First & Last Name
      • Email Address

Campsite accommodations:

Please select a (facility) campsite preference for your unit. The Campsite you select will try to be accommodated however we may need to move your unit prior to your arrival to ensure the entire camp operation moves smoothly for your week attending.

Sleeping accommodations:

We recommend bring your own tents; however, Tents and platforms are provided upon request. Tents are standard BSA canvas tents that sleep no more than 2 people per tent. BSA and Youth Protection guidelines must be always followed.

Merit Badge Registration:

Merit Badge registration will open April 1st through the ScoutingColorado.org Registration platform. Some Merit Badges have associated fees which will be collected at the time of registration for those Merit Badges. Merit Badges are on a first come first serve basis at the time of registration. The unit account must be in good standing before Merit Badge registrations will be accepted/completed.

Financial Information:

We are asking for a deposit payment online at time of registration. Payments start January 1st and end May 1st. You may use e-check or credit card. If you would like to use your GCC unit account, please contact JoLynne Conrad at 720.266.2143 for assistance in making your reservation. In addition, you will not be able to choose merit badge classes unless your account is paid up to date.
