This blended Wilderness First Aid course includes an online portion and an in-person, 8hr skills testing day. This allows the participants to complete the online core content on their own schedule; and then be mentored on their skills during the skills practice day. Participants will earn an ECSI WFA certification, good for two years from the completion date. This course is for initial and renewing participants.
Prerequisites: Must be 14 years or older.
Must have current CPR/AED certificate. BSA requires CPR courses to include hands-on skills testing by a certified instructor
Must complete the ESCI online module portion prior to class: https://www.ecsinstitute.org/scouting-wfa (Note: this is a separate registration)
Certification is good for 2 years from course completion date
Please bring with you to class: A Lunch, comfortable shoes and clothing (not to loose or tight), water bottle, your personal first aid kit (if you have one), and pad and paper. Face masks as always will be required.
