The Annual Ranch Hands weekend at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch will take place May 1, 2021.   The Ranch Hands weekend allows youth and adults to spend a weekend camping at Peaceful Valley and provide much needed help preparing the camp for the busy summer camping season.

Saturday, May 1, will be spent working on significant improvements throughout the Ranch at Camp Cris Dobbins, Camp Dietler and Magness Adventure Camp. Projects identified for 2021 will be: concrete work, door framing, vehicle maintenance, platform repair, forestry work, table repair, and light-medium construction. Depending on the skills available from your unit’s crew leader, additional specific projects may be developed. Saturday lunch and dinner will be provided for people participating in the day of service. Units camping the entire weekend will be at no charge. A discount code will be generated on this receipt.

It is up to the units to provide programs and meals on Friday, Saturday Breakfast, and Sunday. Troops should plan to cook on stoves, or charcoal unless Elbert County is in a fire ban.
