Super rare Denver Area Council patches from the National Jamboree that didn’t happen in 2021!

As you know, during the 2020 pandemic, BSA made the tough decision to postpone the 2021 National Jamboree. What you probably don’t know is that our Denver Area National Jamboree leadership team already had been meeting and planning for over a year.

Here’s an interesting item: We already had ordered a small quantity of Denver Area Council Jamboree 2021 patch sets featuring Colorado outdoors activities. This limited set features Scouts enjoying backpacking, fly fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, kayaking, snowboarding, hot air ballooning, and four wheeling. Each set consists of 5 patches: one center patch and four CSPs.

These high-quality patch sets are BSA approved and feature official stickers on the reverse side of all patches. All 5 patches feature a hidden BSA fleur-de-lis icon with a full-color Venturing logo on two of the patches.

The sets were created for the purpose of fundraising for the Denver Area Council Jamboree 2021 contingent. As with earlier Jamboree fundraising patches, these sets are a very limited item and will never be reproduced again in the future.

   400 full color sets of DAC Jamboree 2021 patches
   100 sets of “ghosted” Colorado flag patches with the same embroidered imagery as the full color set

Why would anyone want patches from an event that never happened?
This is the kind of thing that patch collectors absolutely love. To our knowledge, there are less than a dozen councils in the U.S. that did an early release of Jamboree 2021 patches, so these are uncommon and desirable. This was only the second BSA Jamboree in history that has ever been postponed or canceled — and the first time was way back in 1935 due to a polio epidemic. In addition, these patches feature the Denver Area Council name, which has been replaced with the new Greater Colorado Council name. These patch sets are destined to be fairly rare and collectible!

Most importantly: the funds raised from these patch sets will support the GCC contingent to the 2023 National Jamboree!

Who can buy? How many sets can I buy?
We are offering these patch sets for sale to Greater Colorado Council scouts and scouters first. If there are any left after the first week, we will open it up to patch collectors nationwide… they will sell out quickly then.

What are the prices?
The full color set is $40 each.
The Colorado flag ghosted edition is $50 each.

No, we are selling complete sets only.

How do I get my patches?
You can pick them up at the Greater Colorado Council HQ during regular business hours or pay $5.00 to have them shipped to you.
