Makers Camp

Do you have a young creative at home that is always looking to start a new project? Donald E. Scott Colorado Adventure Point (CAP) is introducing a new day camp for summer 2019 called Makers Camp! Campers will be taking advantage of our Fabrication and Technology labs by getting an introduction to painting, pottery, photography, woodwork, and metalwork.

Offering a new medium each day, we hope to inspire our campers to imagine innovative projects with their fresh new set of skills. Our goal for this camp is for participants to not only walk away with awesome projects, but also to inspire creativity, gain confidence, and start dreaming about creative careers. Each day will start out with learning about art concepts, such as color theory, and the logistics of working in the field.

After introducing how to safely operate the tools, the rest of the day will be an open workshop with the assistance of our qualified instructors.

CAP offers Care Packages that can be a nice surprise for your camper! For $25 they will receive a Colorado Adventure Point t-shirt, carabiner, stickers, pins, patches as well as a FREE voucher to Open Adventure Day. Additionally, with the purchase of a Care Package there is a 1 in 15 change to win a FREE week of STEM Camp!

For kids ages 9-13, the cost for Makers Camp is $350 which includes all necessary tools and materials. It is advised to wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get messy due to the creative nature of the camp.

Early Drop Off - AM Enrichment and Late Pick Up - PM Enrichment are available at an extra cost.  All children must bring a BSA Health Form with parts A and B filled out and signed which also serves as a photo consent form.  Please pack a sack lunch and beverage for your Camper!  All registrations must be paid in full one week before Adventure Camp.
