What we do

Our evidence based program has flexible and state-approved programming that provides teachers lesson plans and students engaging character development education.

Curriculum

Learning for Life has Teacher Guides and Student workbooks with about 60 lesson plans per grade in the Pre-K - 8th grade.  At the High school level we have 3 books of lesson plans for teachers that cover 6 main topics: Life skills, Career Education, College Life, Habits of Character, Service to Others, and Ethical Dilemmas.  Boys and girls are served in a classroom setting both during regular school hours and after school programs, giving schools the opportunity to enhance and enrich the educational experience of their students. The program is part of the answer to the serious challenges facing our young people and our schools.

Career Awareness

Learning for Life partners with local businesses to provide opportunities for students to get first hand experience with various career opportunities. The Value Added services Learning for Life provides include guest speakers, assistance with career fairs, career interest surveys, and our career club program, Exploring.

Outdoor Experience

The outdoor program could be an overnight, multiple overnights, a day trip, or a high-adventure outing. It should be centered on an educational experience and enhance school curriculum. This experience can take place at one of two of our council camp facilities or at a place to be determined by the organization. Learning For Life can assist with providing many resources for this experience.
